Easy fit... just remember to get the timing right!
"It will probably take me longer to type this review than it did to fit the ign! The instructions are comprehensive... the kit looks great. For what it cost I'm thrilled. If you are building something that is going to rev.. I'd say its a must! Start off by removing the 3 pin plug to be able to thread it through the crank case hole. (the instructions tell you how to do this) this is a bit of a faff. From there it is easy... Back plate on using the original screws then set the motor with a timing stop or dial and get the rotor on NOTE... The HPI instructions tell you to time this at 2mm before top dead centre... That's a LOT of advance. (Those running these suggest the standard 17mm so about 1.1mm before top dead centre. It's your choice though!) Then set the back plate so you can advance or retard a little if necessary. Align the rotor with the correct mark (instructions tell you which) and snug it all up.
